Mitosis values the community as the backbone for Web3 projects. We believe building a sustainable and enjoyable community along with continuous shipping is necessary nowadays.

To make the Mitosis community safer and stronger, we aim to revamp some of the current Discord components and introduce a better customized and modified structure.

💜 Roles

<aside> <img src="/icons/star-outline_gray.svg" alt="/icons/star-outline_gray.svg" width="40px" /> As we know, the crypto community is a place where random people from all around the world have come together. They all have different talents, thoughts, and even tastes (e.g., 🍍 + 🍕).

We don’t want you all to be forced to carry out the same repeated action regardless of the diversity. Instead, various hats (= Discord roles) will be awarded to you based on the type of contributions you make. The hats will help you show who you are in the community.

That way, we expect that existing rooms for bots and civil attackers will be decreasing accordingly. This will offer more chances to contribute and a pleasant community vibe to chill. As a result, the chances and the vibe will funnel more invaluable users to our community.

Root Roles

Root roles are the basic roles that you can acquire after onboarding in the community.

: The Nucleus role is the entry role granted after verifying your Discord account in the Mitosis server.

: The Mitosian role is granted to Nucleus users after some chats; no other actions are required.

: The Settler role is obtainable under specific conditions. The users with the Settler role are able to access the new core channels of the Mitosis community.

• Initial Distribution: Mitosis Discord members who have at least 3 Morseler roles are assigned the Settler role. Also, if you have the Morse Trainer role, the Settler role is assigned to you.

• Karma:

  1. Like Decoder Parts, Sensei folks are allowed to distribute Karma for users. There are various contributions and criteria to receive Karma. Users can spend Karma to obtain the Settle role.
  2. You can stack small Karma once a day by chatting in any Discord channel.

  Available commands through the #karma-exchange channel

  • /balance - check your Karma balance
  • /item buy - to buy the Settler Passport item, which gives you the Settler role (Price: 1,000 Karma)

• Nomination: If some users are nominated in the Settler community to be a Settler, the nominated users have a chance to be a Settler. Other Settler and Sensei folks will decide.

• Role: If you get any of the Contribution-based roles, the Settler role will also be granted to you. Continue to read.

TGRs (Token-Gated Roles)

TGRs are granted based on the balance of specific whitelisted crypto assets. TGRs help us onboard users from other leading communities and encourage them to participate in our community. You can get the roles based on your balances of the whitelisted assets accordingly. Please verify in the #role-verify channel.
